Dr. Anas Itani, RCIC-IRB-L3, PhD, P.Eng. – President and Immigration Consultant

 

Dr. Anas Itani is a passionate immigration consultant and community leader based in Edmonton, Alberta. Originally from Lebanon, Anas immigrated to Canada in 2015, bringing with him a deep determination to succeed. Over the years, he has built an impressive career, earning a PhD in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Alberta and achieving professional certifications as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Project Management Professional (PMP), and LEED Accredited Professional (AP).

In addition to his professional career, Dr. Anas Itani served in the past as a Reservist Lieutenant Commander with the Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC). In this role, he acted as a critical liaison between the Canadian Army Forces and the Royal Canadian Navy, ensuring seamless communication and operational coordination. His work involved bridging two vital branches of the Canadian Armed Forces, contributing to the success of joint missions and fostering collaboration. This position reflectd his strong leadership, strategic thinking, and unwavering dedication to serving Canada.

Anas’s journey as an immigrant has fueled his commitment to helping others achieve their Canadian dreams. After graduating from Queen’s University in April 2023, he received his authorization to practice from the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) in August 2023 (license number R713328). As a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC) since October 2022, he has been instrumental in guiding individuals and families through Canada’s complex immigration process.

Anas is also a dedicated community builder. He actively engages in volunteer work, offering pro-bono immigration services to individuals facing financial hardship, particularly newcomers and refugees from war-torn regions. As a proud Edmontonian, Anas collaborates with local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and DiscoverE, where he serves as a mentor and team leader, inspiring youth to explore science, technology, and engineering.

His contributions extend to the Arab community in Edmonton, where he regularly organizes workshops and events to foster cultural connections, empower immigrants, and address challenges unique to newcomers. His leadership in the community has earned him recognition for bridging gaps and creating opportunities for marginalized groups.

Dr. Itani’s expertise spans more than just immigration—his professional experience in engineering and project management brings a unique, analytical approach to his work. He excels in problem-solving, communication, and project execution, skills that translate seamlessly into his immigration practice. From navigating complex regulations to delivering personalized client solutions, Anas approaches every case with precision, empathy, and a deep understanding of his clients’ aspirations.

Dr. Anas Itani has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Alexander Graham Bell Canada Award (NSERC) for groundbreaking research, the President's Doctoral Prize of Distinction from the University of Alberta for academic excellence, and the YMCA Bennett Clarke Memorial Award for community leadership. He was also honored with the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Award for outstanding academic achievements and the National Award for Best Engineering Project from Shell, recognizing his technical expertise and innovative contributions. These accolades reflect his commitment to excellence, leadership, and service.
